  • Here's Ken Ham announcing live streaming of the Ham-Nye debate.
  • We are only a few seconds in to Ham's speech to video camera when we have the first lies....

"It's really been amazing to me that as soon as the many atheists heard that this debate was going ahead, they were pressuring Bill Nye to pull out of the debate. Many were saying, "Don't debate creationists because this legitimizes their world view, or it gives them a platform.""
  • Two points
  1. You have got to be kidding me, that a man who has made a living out of conning the gullible faithful, promoting ancient myths as woodenly literal truth in contradiction to all of science, can be unaware of Gould's and Dawkins' agreed policy of never giving loons like you the time of day - that you have never read this - Why I Won't Debate Creationists
  2. It is not only atheists who think you are a scurrilous, lying loon. The majority of the world's Christians accept science too. They value and respect the truth.

"You see many of these atheists..."
  • It is not only atheists who think you are a scurrilous, lying loon. The majority of the world's Christians accept science too. They value and respect the truth.

"...just do not want creationists being able to get their message across. They want to stop people hearing about creation. In fact, they are really involved in censorship."
  • There is no way in which non-creationists, whether they are Christians, atheists or whatever, are able to stop people hearing about creationism. In fact I was taught that there were still creationists in this world, and what they believed, by a teacher who wasn't a creationist. He didn't ridicule them. It wasn't necessary. He just told us the facts. It was hard for me to believe that people nowadays could be so gullible. What sensible people object to is the presentation, to vulnerable young people, of creation mythology as science. Lying to impressionable, intellectually defenceless young children is unpardonable. It is, as Dawkins says, an abuse of their innocence and openness.

"They don't want young people to know that science actually supports the Bible, and confirms the Bible's history."
  • They don't want people like you telling such lies to children.

"The other thing that I saw happening was this - there were atheists..."
  • It is not only atheists who think you are a scurrilous, lying loon. The majority of the world's Christians accept science too. They value and respect the truth.

"...who were actually telling us that Bill Nye wasn't an evolutionist to debate Ken Ham. In other words he wasn't qualified to debate. You know, it's all right for Bill Nye to make statements about evolution in public, and be applauded for that, and that then when he wants to debate a creationist, he's told by secular peers that he shouldn't really be debating them because he really doesn't understand evolution."
  • No. The concern is that Bill Nye may not be experienced enough in dealing with scurrilous, lying loon snake-oil salesmen such as yourself. I have had many years experience in doing just that, and if you, Ken Ham, get to read this, and possess enough courage to engage me in a written debate, my email address is barry.desborough@gmail.com
